What we know about I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is one of the biggest shows in the reality TV calendar.

It’s certainly going to be an exciting series and Coleen Rooney leads the big names on the rumoured I’m A Celeb line-up.

One thing we can be sure on is there will be no politicians after Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly called for the producers to take a break from signing them to the show. In the past two years, I’m A Celeb has been criticised for the inclusion of Nigel Farage on the 2023 series and Matt Hancock’s late arrival on the 2022 series. Farage was arguably the most controversial signing the show has ever had.

Here is what to expect from the 2024 series of the show.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have teased a shakeup with the Bushtucker Trials too in the new trailer where they pose as mad scientists in lab coats testing out the infamous trials.

Britney Spears’ hit song Baby One More Time played out over the trailer, an interesting choice after her sister Jamie Lynn Spears was in the jungle last year but quit early.

ITV teased: “Which trials will make the cut?And which brave celebrities will be set to face them in the upcoming series?”

Presenters Ant and Dec have hosted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! since it first aired in 2002. The cheeky Geordie duo are well-loved for their witty remarks, who often can be found mocking the celebrity campmates.

The only year they were parted on I’m A Celeb was in 2018 when Ant had to take time off to recover from his addiction to prescription drugs. Holly Willoughby, who at the time was the darling of ITV and the star of This Morning, jetted across the world to accompany Dec for the adventure.

We don’t know which celebrity contestants are going Down Under this year. Coleen Rooney and Tommy Fury are among the biggest celebs rumoured to have signed up to the show.

If the talk is true, Rooney will have get the biggest pay cheque so far — even more than Nigel Farage’s £1.5 million last year. The WAG would be an excellent signing after her very public battles with Rebekah Vardy after the Wagatha Christie drama saw Rooney name Vardy’s Instagram account as the leaker of tabloid stories about her life.

Any names leaked so far are speculative, with ITV not releasing the final line-up until closer to the time in November.
