The guarantee that was given to him has him in the top ten among all NFL players.
Over the Cap published the numbers behind the notable guarantees in the NFL, including Tristan Wirfs. Wirfs earned a whopping $26 million which is good for seventh most in the league. The only players and positions to beat him out in guarantees are quarterbacks led by Dak Prescott with $40 million.
Wirfs was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the same year that Tom Brady arrived in Tampa Bay. He has transitioned from protection the greatest player to play the position to Baker Mayfield who has seen tremendous growth behind Wirfs and the protections he is able to generate along the offensive line.
