The alarm was activated at around 3:30 a.m. local time (0130 GMT) in various locations of the Tel Aviv area. Minutes later, the Israeli military reported a missile had been intercepted.
The alert followed Israeli strikes on multiple targets associated with the Houthi movement in Yemen on Thursday, including Sanaa International Airport.
According to Houthi media, at least six people were killed.
