Roasted will soon reopen in a new space in Midtown, eight months since the restaurant closed its original location in Salemtown following a fatal Easter Sunday shooting.
Flavor 90s, a nostalgia-themed Music Row bar, announced earlier this month that it is partnering with Roasted to create a “dining and entertainment hub” on Demonbreun Street. The two concepts will merge, incorporating Roasted’s all-day brunch into Flavor 90s’ nightlife entertainment.
Roasted owner Ericka Fizer, who was one of seven injured in the shooting, took to social media to share the news.
After her restaurant closed earlier this year, she said she was unsure of her future in Nashville’s hospitality industry. Over the summer, she started serving up takeout orders available at Midtown Foods food hall and maintained operations of her catering services.
With continued community support, Fizer made the decision in October to reopen her sit-down restaurant after what she called “a spiritual fast.”
For 226 days, I’ve been under construction, physically, mentally and emotionally. For 226 days, y’all have prayed for me, my employees and my business,” Fizer said in a video posted to social media. “Now, 226 days later, we are back.”
Located at 1526 Demonbreun St., the new Roasted restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The grand opening is Sunday, Nov. 24.
Roasted’s social media pages promise that customers can expect the same food they know and love from the Salemtown location in Midtown. The menu includes Bananas Foster pancakes, chicken and waffles, a bacon, cheddar and swiss burger, Cajun butter shrimp and salmon croquettes.
