Henry Cavill confirms his Superman return

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman… again!

Henry Cavill has revealed what the DC Comics extended cinematic universe is looking for: the British actor will reprise the role of Clark Kent (also known as Superman).

This exciting news comes just a week after Cavill donned the iconic red-and-blue suit and cape during a mid-credits appearance after “Black Adam,” the DC superhero film that starred Dwayne Johnson.

Cavill made his first appearance in this role since “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” last year, and before that the 2017 version, “Justice League.”

Cavill posted a photo on Instagram of his profile picture as a timeless hero. Then, he uploaded a selfie video directly to his followers.

Before he spoke about his return, he stated that he would wait until people had seen “Black Adam”.

Cavill stated, “But now that many of you have [seen] the movie], I wanted to make it official: It’s my return as Superman.”

He thanked his fans for their patience “most of all”.

“A very small glimpse of what’s to follow, my friends.” Cavill wrote the caption: “The dawn of hope renewed.” “We appreciate your patience. We will reward you.”

Cavill’s short scene at the end “Black Adam” is one of the most thrilling moments in the movie and promises a future standoff with Johnson’s all-powerful Adam.

Many are asking for Cavill’s Superman to be made as a standalone movie. This would be the first film since “Man of Steel” (2013).

“Black Adam” was the No. With an estimated $67million, “Black Adam” occupied the No. 1 spot at the domestic movie box office.
