Browns rival Bengals extend Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins

The Cleveland Browns will have to deal with the pains of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for the foreseeable future. Both wide receivers struck long-term deals with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night, locking in two talented pass catchers for quarterback Joe Burrow to throw to.

Chase has inked a four-year deal worth over $40 million per year. The talented wide receiver locks in $112 million of his $161 million on his new deal in guaranteed money. This means that defensive end Myles Garrett’s short reign as the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history has already come to an end.

Higgins signed a new four-year deal with the Bengals as well. The former second round pick will see a total of $115 million across that deal, coming in at $28.75 million per year. The guarantees in Higgins’ deal have yet to be revealed.

These deals were first reported by FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz.

Life was already hard on the likes of Denzel Ward and Martin Emerson Jr. and those lives aren’t getting any easier in the near future.
