Christian Norgaard and Yoane Wissa scored as Brentford continued their hot away form with a 2-1 comeback win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
The Bees didn’t win away from the Gtech Community Stadium until January but are 5-0 since the calendar turned to 2025 and their 41 points have them one off the top half of the table.

Bournemouth vs Brentford live updates
Christian Norgaard goal — Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford (71st minute)
Technical ability and focus drive the bus as Christian Norgaard finds the ball on a throw-in that hits the deck inside the box, going side-volley to lash past Kepa Arrizabalaga.
It had been almost all Bournemouth in the second half, but that matters little to the score line.
Halftime — Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford
Each team could have 2-3 goals on the day, and an even split feels just about right after 45 minutes.
Bournemouth have an edge in possession, shots, and xG but given their home advantage perhaps that should’ve been expected.
Three points up for grabs over the final 45 at the Vitality Stadium.
Yoane Wissa goal — Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford (31st minute)
Kepa Arrizabalaga comes out for a Bryan Mbeumo corner kick and doesn’t get too close to it, as Yoane Wissa meets it in the air and heads into the empty goal to level the score on the south coast of England.
Wissa heads Brentford level against Bournemouth
Bryan Mbeumo’s corner finds Yoane Wissa in the air for a tidy finish to make it 1-1 for Brentford against Bournemouth.
Vitaly Janelt own goal — Bournemouth 1-0 Brentford (18th minute)
Milos Kerkez fires into the box to get an entry from Antoine Semenyo, hammering a hopeful cross toward the penalty spot.
It smacks off the bundled-up Vitaly Janelt and bops into the goal.
Janelt’s own goal gives Bournemouth lead over Bees
The Cherries strike first thanks to a fortunate deflection off Vitaly Janelt to give Bournemouth an early lead over Brentford at the Vitality Stadium.
Both sides going for it
As expected, both Andoni Iraola and Thomas Frank have their sides keyed up to get on the front foot.
Bournemouth have been a bit better at the back so far, and have rang up the only four shot attempts of the game.

Bournemouth vs Brentford preview, prediction
The afternoon scrap will see the Cherries enter winless in three and boasting just four points from their last available 15 — the lone win coming at 20th-place Southampton.
Bournemouth have slipped into ninth place, but that’s misleading as their 44 points are just three points off fifth and five away from fourth.
Brentford, meanwhile, have had brilliant moments this season with Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa among the Premier League leaders in goals, but too many runs of poor results have hampered the Bees.
The Bees lost 1-0 to Villa last time out, a setback that came on the heels of a 1-1 draw with Everton — both coming at home, which was a fortress earlier in the season.
Yet Thomas Frank’s men are capable of the sublime even if most of Brentford’s positive results have come against bottom-half sides, but they’ve beaten Newcastle and Bournemouth as well. The Cherries have struggled to keep their goal clear during their losing run, but they’ll be desperate to restore their season hopes and have the home crowd behind them. Bournemouth 2-1 Brentford.
